For more than 35 years, MJ has been working as a paralegal with law firms specializing in bankruptcy practice.  MJ has worked with some of the areas most distinguished law firms specializing in debtor representation practice for Chapters 11 and 7 cases filed in the Central District of California, the District of Delaware, Southern District of New York and Northern District of Texas.  MJ has worked on Mega bankruptcy cases, and has experience handling all phases of bankruptcy cases, from preparing initial voluntary petitions, gathering financial and other documentation for preparing Schedules, Statements of Financial Affairs, US Trustee compliance, preparation of ballots for various classes and tabulating voted ballots for Plans of Reorganization, and also reviewing filed proofs of claims and preparing reports for counsel and client’s review.

In order to maintain paralegal compliance, MJ has attended multiple bankruptcy-related MCLE seminars sponsored by Los Angeles Paralegal Association; was a member of IWIRC (International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation) and secretary for the Los Angeles chapter, was speaker at 2010 LAPA Conference (bankruptcy break out session), and was a member of and attended multiple American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) conferences.
